According to Telemadrid via AS, Luka Modric has rejected Real Madrid's offer of an extension on his current deal, which is set to expire in 2020.

Inter Milan continue to be heavily linked with the 2018 Ballon d'Or winner and they are expected to launch another bid for his signature next summer.

However, Madrid may be prepared to make a second offer to Modric which includes a more lucrative wage packet, as they aim to keep hold of their prized playmaker.
